Several City of Lisburn athletes travelled to Downpatrick on Wedesday evening for the RGU 10k event. This is always a popular race on the calendar, featuring a few climbs in the first half and a pleasant undulating second half through the County Down countryside.
Dave Lonnen had a fantastic run, finishing 4th overall and 1st M45 in an excellent 35:59 over the accurately measured course. Judith Lowry took home the prize for 1st lady after her performance of 39:35, while Kate Hanratty was 6th lady and 3rd F35 with her 47:42. Over 120 athletes were in action altogether.
Meanwhile at the recent Kennedy Kane Festival of races in Dervock, Lisburn’s Peter Donnelly finished a good 18th out of 268 athletes in 1:26.21.
Well done to all!
