New NI Junior Record for Megan Marrs
Mon 26 May 2014--admin
Megan travelled to the AAI Games in Santry on Sunday 25th May 2014 to compete in the womens hurdles. She ran a blistering 13.72s in a legal wind to finish second and smash the existing record set in 1993.
This places her second in the UK U20s list and 12th in the overall listings. Considering Megan is only 16 years old and right in the middle of her GCSEs this is an amazing achievement. It is also her first outdoor hurdle race of the season. Not too bad for a season opener!
Megan has also recently been awarded a Rainbow Communications Sport Award in partnership with the Mary Peters Trust, to support her training for the UK World Junior Trials in Bedford on June 21.
Plenty more to come from this young lady!
Well done Megan!
