Titanic Quarter 10k

Conditions were unseasonably warm in Belfast today which meant uncomfortable running conditions for athletes at the Titanic Quarter 10k. On a flat course which can normally be considered one on which to attack PB’s, the heat took it’s toll with many athletes a minute or so off their target times in a race which saw a fair few drop-outs on top of the 1151 finishers.
However, City of Lisburn’s Kyla Henderson and Declan Morgan made their way safely round the new route for 2011. Kyla had a partcularly good run, finishing as 11th female home overall in 42:13 (chip), with Declan not far behind in 42:33.
