City of Lisburn athletes collect two silver individual medals and team bronze at the weekend in muddy underfoot conditions. Ciara Mageean wins Silver in the inter girls and Ruth Gillispie also Silver in the senior girls while Ruth picks up additional Bronze medal as part of the Carrick Grammar senior girls team with Jenny Moore, Hannah Addley and Allison Robinson. Also, Rachel Pearson of Friends School, who has just recovered from injury, preformed beyond expectations to finish eleventh in the same race. More
Emily Mills of Strathern indicated a return to form with a strong performance in the Junior Girls race, finishing in twentieth spot.
The Inter Girls, Ciara Mageean Assumption Grammar, Ballinahinch ran a superb race in the heavy conditions to finish with a Silver medal with her Lisburn team mate Rachel Gibson of Wallace High finishing just outside the medals in fourth, fabulous performance from both girls.
