The All-Ireland Juvenile age-group championships resumed this weekend and a squad of City of Lisburn athletes were competing in good conditions in Tullamore.
Well done to Karyn Dumigan who brings home two medals. She was 2nd in the U19 Triple Jump in a fine 10.88m and took bronze in the Long Jump in 5.23m. This rounded off a great week for Karyn after her win for the club in the Senior Premier league competition at Athlone last Sunday.
Kathryn Wallace threw 33.73m for a PB by a couple of metres when placing 4th in the U17 hammer. Although she has already thrown for Ulster Schools earlier in the season this represents Kathryn’s best performance to date at All-Ireland level.
Also competing well was Erin Quinn who was 6th in the U15 200m final in 27.28s (-1.1w) after a PB in the semi earlier of 27.04s. Rebecca Harvey was 9th in the 1500m in the same age-group in 5m 11s.
