PB for Andrew at Parkrun
Sun 18 December 2011--admin
Conditions at Victoria Park for yesterday morning’s Parkrun were very challenging, with the bend at the start/finish area and also the opposite corner of the course both especially slippy. Marshals guided runners onto the grass at these icy sections while at other spots on the 1 mile circuit it was necessary to keep the brakes on to a degree.
Despite this, Andrew Watson was one of very few athletes to record a PB on the day, lowering his best time here to 22:33. This placed him 24th overall and 4th M35-39. Further back Jonny McWhinney completed his 13th Parkrun in 24:29, leaving him 31st overall and 2nd M40-44 from the field of 47.
