Schools Inter-Pros, Santry

This time last year Kathyrn Wallace was the sole City of Lisburn representative on the Ulster Schools Inter-Provincial Track and Field team. This year we had five at the fixture, with provisional results showing that all competed well.
Aoibhin McManus was the only one to record a PB, producing the series of her life with a 5.36m long jump and no less than 4 jumps further than her previous best. 5th position was also achieved by two more of the Lisburn gang – Roseanna McGuckian (200m) and Anna McIlmoyle (High Jump). Rebecca Harvey (1500m) and Andrew Hutchinson (High Jump) finished in 7th.
Well done to all five athletes on gaining their Ulster Schools vests. Remarkably all five are eligible for another year at this level with Roseanna and Andrew having two more years, so this was great experience for the squad, some of whom will perhaps be pushing for Irish Schools vests next year.
