Scottish titles for Jane and Erin!

There were also successes for City of Lisburn athletes this weekend in the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow at the Scottish Junior Indoor championships. Fresh from her recent N. Ireland and Ulster title in the Odyssey, Jane Anderson improved in each of the three rounds of the U15 60m hurdles to set a PB of 9.40s to take gold and become Scottish champion.
Training partner Erin Quinn made it a day to remember for the pair as she also claimed gold in the U15 60m flat final, setting a big PB of 8.20s, also after three tough rounds which were necessary because of the huge entry of 53 athletes! Anna McIlmoyle has had a good indoor season of her own and would have been in the mix for the medals but unfortunately fell after clipping the final barrier when leading in her heat of the U17 hurdles.
On top of their exertions on the track, Jane also managed to equal her PB of 1.50m for 5th in the high jump, Erin was 7th in the long jump and Anna had to retire injured from the high jump after clearing 1.50m which left her 6th.
Well done to all the girls for representing the club so well while on tour in Scotland!
