Big PB for Declan at Parkrun 5k

Declan Morgan’s response to losing his club Parkrun record to Callum Shaw last week was a great run in perfect conditions this morning at the Waterworks where he took a huge 20 seconds off his course PB. The 15-milers he’s putting in as he builds up towards the Belfast Marathon are clearly not affecting his basic speed. In fact he was heard to say in his post-race interview that he is confident he’ll give young Shaw a run for his money the next time they meet! With a time of 19:29 Declan was 21st from the record field of 194 runners and an excellent 2nd M30-34.

Sean McGurnaghan put in his first Parkrun appearance for a while and was within 7 seconds of his PB with a good 21:29 run to place 52nd overall and 7th M45-49.
